Who Should Attend?
This event is aimed at Headmasters, Deputy and Assistant Principals, and all staff members who have a particular interest in pastoral care and managing relationships with our school families.
Conference Program
The conference will explore the relationship between family and school, and study different methodologies. Study the importance of family participation in our educational institutions, and how this participation can positively impact students’ academic lives. Also examine how the relationship between our families and our educational institutions can significantly influence the formation of our students on a more global scale. Speakers
Our three guest speakers – David Banks, Mike Grenier, and Ignacio Sala – will provide their own insights, gleaned during their distinguished careers, on the relationship between family and school. Each speaker will showcase different methodologies for fostering a successful union between family and school. David Banks is the president and CEO of the Eagle Academy Foundation in New York City. Mike Grenier, Eton House Master, is a master teacher and co-founder of the "slow education movement." Ignacio Sala is Vice President of Viaró's Board of Trustees, and a proud parent of a student at the school. Consult speakers for additional speaker details.
