Board Chair Announcement

Colleagues and friends,

Greetings from your IBSC. I have some exciting news to share with you. On October 17, 2024, the officers of the IBSC Board of Trustees unanimously elected David Dini as our new chair.

A familiar face to many, Headmaster David Dini and his team at St. Mark’s School of Texas (United States) hosted us in Dallas for the 2022 IBSC Annual Conference. David has spent the past 30 years serving the St. Mark’s community, creating and leading the school’s comprehensive advancement program before stepping into his current role as headmaster in 2014. A highly respected and much-loved leader in the community, his patient, humble, and professional approach is appreciated by all.

Electing David provides a seamless transition from former Chair David Ferguson, who has accepted a role outside the IBSC community. We wish him well. Not only has David Dini recently led the board in his role as secretary, for five years he also served as treasurer of the IBSC Board of Trustees and chaired the Finance Committee. As our coalition navigated unforeseen financial challenges during the pandemic, David adeptly steered IBSC to maintain its solid financial footing.

As an early act as board chair, David appointed Mark Sturgeon as the new board secretary. Mark serves as headmaster of Aylesbury Grammar School (United Kingdom) and IBSC vice chair of UK-Europe through June 30, 2025.

We congratulate David on his election to chair the IBSC Board of Trustees and Mark on his appointment as secretary. We continue to be led with care, inspiration, and in the spirit of service across the rich diversity of our global coalition.
