The Compass June 2021 With Gratitude
As of July 1, IBSC undergoes a leadership change. Our outstanding Executive Director David Armstrong steps away from his full-time job at IBSC. We express our profound gratitude to him for guiding our community with heartfelt devotion and expert leadership. We look forward to celebrating his loyal, imaginative service to IBSC and the boys we serve at the 2021 IBSC Virtual Conference this month. While we will miss him in our day-to-day lives, his wisdom, achievement, good humor, and friendship will continue to resonate through our schools and the lives of boys.
Please join us in thanking these exceptional leaders for their dedicated service to our global community. We wish them the best of luck in their new adventures. ![]() ![]() IBSC Virtual Conference Starts This Week

IBSC Virtual Global Forum on Racial Equity in Boys' Education Last month, the IBSC Task Force on Recognizing, Acknowledging, and Addressing Inequities in the Lives of Young Men of Color hosted the IBSC Virtual Global Forum on Racial Equity in Boys' Education. More than 75 boys from IBSC member schools worldwide engaged in frank conversations about identity, the role of education in a diverse world in which values are increasingly tested and contested, and next steps toward greater racial equity in boys' education.
As a community we celebrate the essential work of these thought leaders. We especially thank Task Force Chair Jack Pannell for leading the charge and sharing more about this vital effort during the upcoming IBSC Virtual Conference.
