We have contracted with the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel for special reduced rates for conference delegates. As with past conferences, we would hope that all delegates requiring accommodation will book at the designated hotel.

IBSC Welcome Desk at the Conference Hotel

You may find the IBSC Welcome Desk in the lobby of the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel (conference hotel) open at the following times:

  • Friday, 23 June, 7:30 – 8:30 AM
  • Saturday, 24 June, 10:00 AM – 12:00 NOON
  • Sunday, 25 June, 12:00 – 2:30 PM

Traveling to and from The Boys’ Latin School of Maryland

Conference Buses

On conference days (25 – 28 June), buses transport delegates between the conference hotel and Boys’ Latin.

Monday evening, buses shuttle delegates to the National Aquarium in Baltimore for the reception, and return to the conference hotel following the event. You may opt to walk the short distance between the conference hotel and the aquarium.

At the end of the conference on Wednesday, buses take delegates from Boys’ Latin back to the conference hotel. One bus takes delegates from the Boys’ Latin campus directly to the Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI). This bus is available on a first-come, first-served basis for those who sign up in advance. If you want to reserve a seat on this bus, you must sign up when you register on Sunday at the Information Desk in the Julian S. Smith Alumni House. After Sunday, you may find the Information Desk in the lobby of Hopkins Hall. Sign up before Monday, 26 June at 12:00 NOON.

On Wednesday, you may opt to take a waiting taxi from the Boys’ Latins’ campus to airport destinations.

To prepare for departure, you may either store your luggage at the hotel when you check out Wednesday morning or you may bring your luggage to the front lobby of Ehrhardt Hall (the lower school building) for storage in a secured area.


There is parking available on the Boys’ Latin campus.

Getting to and from Airports

Driving from Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) to the hotel takes about 30 minutes during non-rush-hour times.

Driving from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) to the hotel takes about 75 minutes during non-rush-hour times.

Driving from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to the hotel takes about 90 minutes during non-rush-hour times.

Local taxis, shuttles, and car services are available at the airports for transport to the conference hotel.

The conference hotel concierge desk can assist you with transfers and taxis.
