Gold Coast Fun

After a casual delegate happy hour reception Tuesday, you have a free evening to discover the Gold Coast. The Southport School recommends:

  • Cavill Avenue: a 3-minute stroll from the Hilton or a 25-minute beachfront stroll from the Marriott;
  • The restaurant strip on Tedder Avenue, Main Beach: an 8-minute tram ride from the Hilton or a 15-minute stroll from the Marriott; or
  • The restaurant and entertainment precinct of Broadbeach: a 10-minute tram ride from the Hilton or 15-minute tram ride from the Marriott.

Looking for extra fun before or after the conference? Check out some of Gold Coast’s most popular and interesting destinations, many near the conference hotels in Surfers Paradise. If you plan to travel farther afield, you may find an inexpensive car rental readily available from hotels and local rental agencies.

Many of these attractions are free, but a $ next to the name indicates a cost to enter.
