St. Stithians College is thrilled to welcome educators from around the world. As the conference coincides with the 50th anniversary of the 1976 Soweto uprisings, when the youth of South Africa marched against the imposition of Afrikaans to replace education in their mother tongue or in English, we know that modern education of boys proves no less ambitious and challenging. As we socially educate boys, we encourage them to be upstanders not bystanders and to care for those less fortunate than themselves. Boys also embark on adventurous journeys as we embolden them to vocally and actively protect our natural environment.
