Travel

OR Tambo International Airport

OR Tambo International Airport is located about 30 kilometers from the Garden Court Sandton City hotel. We recommend using the Gautrain (Gautrain | For people on the move) to transfer from the airport to the hotel. The Gautrain accepts Mastercard and Visa for payment. It is a short walk between the Sandton Gautrain station and the hotel. Alternatively, we recommend car service, Uber, Bolt, or metered taxi.

Transportation

St. Stithians College is approximately 6 kilometers from the Garden Court Sandton City hotel. Buses transport attendees between the college and the conference hotel each day of the conference. Please look for the white LuxLiner buses and on-site personnel to assist.

Parking at St. Stithians

Parking is available at St. Stithians College. Please see the campus map for details.

Public Transport

We recommend using conference buses, Uber, Bolt, or metered taxis to travel to and from the conference each day. We do not recommend hailing minibus taxis on an ad hoc basis.  

 

Luggage

On Thursday, there will be space available to store luggage in classroom JB21 the Jubilee Block adjacent to Mears Hall.

  • Kruger National Park, world famous nature reserve (Blyde River Canyon also in the vicinity)
  • Drakensberg Mountains, UNESCO world heritage site
  • Addo Elephant National Park, nature reserve in the Eastern Cape
  • Cape Town, Table Mountain, and nearby winelands; you can also access The Garden Route from Cape Town.
  • Adventures in neighboring countries such as Nambia, Botswana, and Zimbabwe
