2027 IBSC African Regional Conference

Save the Date: March 9-12, 2027

The St. John's Educational Trust is proud to host the 2027 IBSC African Regional Conference in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, home to one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. There could be no more fitting place to explore our conference theme, “Ipai Moyo Zvachose: Give Heart Relentlessly,” than alongside the mighty Zambezi River, where the power, beauty, and untamed spirit of Africa provide the perfect backdrop to experience its message firsthand.

Across Africa, rivers have always been more than waterways. They are places of life, challenge, connection, and transformation. The Zambezi's remarkable journey reminds us that true strength is not found in comfort, but in purpose. Like the river, every boy possesses immense potential. Guided by strong values, caring relationships, and clear boundaries, that energy becomes a force for good; left without direction, it can become destructive or lost. Our role as educators is not to tame the spirit of boys, but to help channel it toward wisdom, compassion, and service.

At the heart of every boy is a longing to belong, to be challenged, and to discover who he can become. “Ipai Moyo Zvachose” is both an invitation and a challenge: to lead with courage, educate with compassion, and serve with wholehearted commitment. Boys flourish when they are known, tested, encouraged, and given the chance to contribute to something greater than themselves.

This conference extends beyond the keynote stage. Beneath the spray of Mosi-oa-Tunya, “The Smoke That Thunders,” delegates will be immersed in the landscapes, cultures, people, and adventures that make Zimbabwe unique. Victoria Falls is more than our venue — it is our classroom, and a reminder that, as educators, we too continue to learn, grow, and be transformed.

Join us to explore how boys' schools can inspire young men to become courageous leaders, compassionate citizens, and men of character who, like the Zambezi, leave a life-giving legacy wherever they flow. We hope every delegate returns home ready to give heart relentlessly — to their schools, their communities, and, most importantly, to the boys in their care.

More details will be posted soon.
