Janetta LienJanetta Lien

Janetta (Janet) Lien is assistant head of school and director of enrollment at The Browning School (United States). An educator for over 20 years and a science teacher by training, she found her way into admissions because she enjoys sharing Browning's story and the power of boys' education with prospective families. Lien serves on the IBSC Board of Trustee and previously served as a team leader for the IBSC Action Research program from 2017–23.

John BottiJohn Botti

John Botti has been the head of The Browning School (United States) in New York City since 2016.  Prior to his arrival in New York, he was the associate head of school for academics at Landon School (United States) in Bethesda, Maryland, where he also served as department chair, taught in both the History and English departments, and coached upper school sports.  He began his teaching career in 1997 at Salisbury School in Connecticut.  Botti is the proud dad of two boys’ school students, serves on the board of NYSAIS, and is a former IBSC trustee.


 

Erica CorbinErica Corbin

Erica Corbin is head of school at The Cathedral School of St. John the Divine. She began her career in New York City independent schools at Cathedral, followed by leadership roles at Collegiate School and The Chapin School. Before assuming her head of school role at Cathedral, Corbin was co-chair of POCIS-NY and founding co-director of J.E.D.I. for NYSAIS. She currently serves as a trustee for NYSAIS and for Parents League of New York.

 

      

   

   

   


 

Ramón JavierRamón Javier

Ramón Javier is a lifelong New Yorker, proud of his Afro-Latinx roots. A member of Prep for Prep, he graduated from The Hackley School and Williams College and then received his Ed.M from Teachers College, Columbia University. Javier worked for Prep for Prep, The TEAK Fellowship, KIPP, Packer Collegiate, and The Trinity School in a variety of leadership roles. He also served on the NYSAIS Diversity Committee for six years.

Javier sits on the boards of both IBSC and NYSAIS. He is also a member of the Education Committee of the Grace Church School Board of Trustees and sits on the Advisory Board of Parents in Action. Javier is in his third year as head of school at George Jackson Academy (United States). He is married with two dope kids—and also a die-hard Mets fan.
