Teaching Boys: A Positive Perspective
Amid a climate of much discussion about boys falling behind in schools, coupled with the social and emotional pressures experienced by young men, join us as we gather school leaders to discuss all the positives about educating boys and how we can support them to succeed.
Schools have more responsibility than ever to make sure the education process includes guiding boys on the right path during their journey to adulthood. This one-day event brings together independent and state schools to explore how we can advocate for boys and also how we can hear their voices more clearly.
Hear from expert speakers including Rory Stewart, former secretary of state for international development and co-host of The Rest Is Politics, and Niobe Way, professor of developmental psychology at New York University. Engage in workshops discussing boys’ views of masculinity, relational teaching, and well-being. Use these keynotes and workshops to discuss the future of single-gender schools and how our schools can inspire confidence in the boys we teach.
Conference Themes
- What does it mean to be masculine?

- How do we empower boys?
