IBSC Cultivating Well-Being in the All-Boys Classroom

social emotional well-being

An IBSC Online Program

May 13, 2024

In classrooms around the globe, educators are increasingly concerned about the rising levels of stress and anxiety among students. Addressing this challenge requires innovative strategies that transcend traditional educational boundaries. Drawing upon the science of happiness, Samara Spielberg has used research to inform classroom strategies that foster happiness and well-being in boys. Educators and school leaders from all disciplines, join us to explore how you can integrate these principles into teaching practices to create a nurturing and positive learning environment.

Grounded in the compelling evidence that meaningful relationships are central to happiness, learn strategies crafted to demystify the concept of happiness through accessible and engaging content. By leveraging authentic resources and student-centered activities, boys feel encouraged to explore the themes of connection, laughter, mindfulness, and acts of kindness. Gain insight into how these activities not only support academic development but also promote a culture of well-being and empathy among boys. Through reflective practices and project-based learning, boys embark on a journey to understand and cultivate their own happiness, leading to enhanced emotional and social growth.
