Management Strategies for the Modern Classroom

empowering

An IBSC Online Program for Teachers in Boys' Schools

September 10, 2024

Educators in today's classrooms are grappling with the unique challenges of engaging and supporting boys on their academic journey. Boys are facing evolving social expectations, pressures on masculinity, and a rapidly changing educational landscape. This workshop offers research-based insights and practical strategies to address these challenges and empower boys to thrive.

Explore data on boys' engagement in schools, the societal pressures they face, the importance of connection and belonging, and what defines a healthy boy. Understand how behavior is a curriculum, the importance of success as a motivator, and the need for students to feel a sense of belonging and belief from their teachers. Learn actionable techniques for gaining attention, defusing debate, and transitioning to independent work.

Connect with fellow educators dedicated to creating a positive and enriching learning environment for boys. Gain the knowledge and tools to create a more engaging and supportive classroom where boys can flourish and reach their full potential.
