Greetings from Nashville!
Plans are well underway for a terrific International Boys’ Schools Coalition Conference in Music City, USA, next year from June 29 to July 2. This will be the Coalition’s 21st annual conference and the second time that it’s been held in Nashville, Tennessee, at Montgomery Bell Academy.
The theme of our conference is “Building Boys into Good Men,” but underlying the entire social aspect of the event will be a focus on the many types of music for which Nashville is famous. Special events will include an evening at the world-famous Country Music Hall of Fame and a songwriters’ night on the MBA campus. One afternoon will be spent on the campus of Vanderbilt University as well. Keynote speakers include historian Jon Meacham, novelist Alice Randall, and Vanderbilt professor A. J. Levine. We are in the process of scheduling other terrific speakers along with exciting music stars, too.
If you’ve never been to Nashville before, you’re going to love the Southern hospitality and welcoming atmosphere of a city that is cosmopolitan and “down home” all at the same time. If you’ve been here before, you know what a dynamic, exciting, and thriving place this city is. Come early and stay after – Nashville’s July 4th celebration on the Cumberland River is a summer highlight.
All of us at Montgomery Bell Academy look forward to welcoming you and enriching your year with this vibrant and meaningful event. We’ll see you in June as “music calls us home”!
Sincerely,
