DAY 2 – MONDAY, JUNE 27, 2016
Day 2 of the conference brings a spectacular day in the Spouses & Partners Program, touring some of the highlights of Vancouver’s attractions. Begin your day at the Capilano Suspension Bridge—some 140 meters over the Capilano River. Admission also includes the Cliffwalk (hang over a granite cliff!), and the Treetops Adventure (through 1300-year old old-growth Douglas firs.)
Next, take a scenic gondola ride to have lunch at the Peak of Vancouver–Grouse Mountain. Offering scenic views of the entire city, plus a range of activities at the top, Grouse Mountain is a must-see while you’re in Vancouver. After lunch, take the bus back into Vancouver for an afternoon of browsing (and shopping!) at Granville Island—Vancouver’s home for local artists, food vendors, and crafts.
Spouses and partners return to the hotel for some downtime, before bus transport from the hotel to the Museum of Anthropology event. All delegates, as well as spouses and partners, are invited to join us at the evening cocktail reception at the Museum of Anthropology on the grounds of the University of British Columbia.
