How Schools Can Support Values, Character, and Wellness
Join us to discuss and explore research-based findings about how schools and teachers can best support boys as they develop into healthy and emotionally intelligent adults.
What challenges do boys face across the developmental cycle from early years to adulthood? How can our awareness of these inform great teaching choices? As boys develop, what other components of identity such as race, socioeconomics, and cultural heritage intersect with their emerging understanding of masculinity? How can we integrate these into the learning environment? In the classroom, how do we ensure our daily teaching practices align with brain development? How do we create a safe space for all boys? What do parents need to know and do to support this work in our schools?
Hear from experts Michael Thompson, Derrick Gay, and Dave Anderson as they lead us on a learning journey to deepen our understanding and surface best practices and experiences from across our schools.
