2021 IBSC Annual Conference

Cancelled

After careful consideration of the ongoing spread of COVID-19 globally, IBSC has cancelled the 2021 IBSC Annual Conference scheduled at Viaró Global School (Spain) in July to protect the health and well-being of our entire community. Your safety remains our top priority.

We thank Viaró Global School for being an excellent host and partner and gratefully recognize the vast work and planning the Viaró community undertook to benefit boys’ educators worldwide and the boys they serve. While disappointed we cannot gather in person for the outstanding program and experience Viaró planned for us, we hope to bring the conference to Barcelona in the near future.

Over the next four weeks, IBSC will automatically cancel your conference registration and refund fees. We will email you once we have processed your refund. If you’d like to donate your fees to IBSC to help offset incurred conference costs, please contact us at IBSC@theibsc.org.

You are responsible for cancelling your travel plans, including any airline and hotel reservations. Contact your hotel directly to cancel your reservation and contact the airline directly to cancel your flight. Airline policies for dealing with existing reservations, cancellations, and change fees during the COVID-19 pandemic differ by carrier. Your hotel reservations will not automatically cancel.

This pandemic has worn down many of us. While we cannot gather in person this year, we are thinking of each and every one of our members. We hope you’ll connect with us in our e-lists, online opportunities, or the many resources IBSC offers on our website. We plan to offer an online experience like the 2020 IBSC Virtual Conference last June. Please watch our website for details in the coming weeks.

Remember to mark your calendars to gather for the 2022 IBSC Annual Conference at the St. Mark’s School of Texas in Dallas, Texas, United States, June 26-29, 2022.

Contact IBSC@theibsc.org with any questions and please do everything you can to stay healthy. We will continue to keep you informed. Above all, we want you to be safe and feel confident that we have your best interests at heart—even if our hearts are heavy.
