Schools are faced with both a moral responsibility and the challenge of educating learners with skills to become lifelong learners in an increasingly global and complex world that has become team-based. The world is changing from the 20th century Industrial Age Economy to a 21st -century Knowledge Economy students requiring essential the life-long learning skills of collaboration, problem solving, communication, critical thinking and creativity Kivunja (2014). Collaboration is a crucial skill that needs to be taught. It cannot be assumed that students Have mastered collaborative skills. Gamification and Digital technologies have the potential to change the way we teach and improve students’ collaborative skills.
